The pourpose of a sundail is to figure out the time without a clock and just by using the sunlighht outside. the sundail works just by somthing for ex. a pencil gets reflected light from the sun and shows a shadow wich can tell the time depending on where the shadows casts. i learned that an objecty doesnt move but its shadow does ;) the onyl thing that u really need is sunlightr and to know wheres north.
